Muslim Student Association members hope a two-day
film festival will educate students on the conflict between
Palestine and Israel.
The Palestinian Film Festival, which shows documentaries discussing the conflict, will take place in the University Center Rosebud Theatre today and Friday.
MSA president Tamim Sawaf said the festival, which is
brought to campuses by the group United for Peace and
Justice, has been held at other universities in the area such
as Southern Methodist University.
This is the first time the
festival will be here.
Iyas Maleh, United for Peace and Justice president, said
the festival has been in existence for almost a year.
“We go to different campuses, churches, theaters and
other venues to educate people on the human rights issues
in the region,” Maleh said.
