Today marks the official
beginning of the building of
the special events center as
administrators, city officials
and community members
gather on the campus’s east
side to break ground.
“I think it’s going to be
a memorable day, an exciting event,” President James
Spaniolo said after Wednesday’s UT System Board of
Regents meeting in Austin.
The special events center
is scheduled to open in fall
2011 with construction beginning this May.
