The stage lights at the Studio
Theatre are setting for a summer
production to help raise money
for the Theatre Arts Department’s
scholarship fund.
For a limited run, students, alumni, faculty and community members
will take the stage to perform in the
Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway
play, Glengarry Glen Ross.
The play follows a cast of quicktalking real estate agents who are
desperate for the next great lead.
After one of the company’s own men,
Dave Moss (performed by alumnus
David Wilson-Brown), plots to steal
potential customer information, the
characters begin to emotionally unravel.
Senior lecturer Natalie Gaupp
produced the play, along with Fort
Worth SceneShop’s Steven McGaw.
Gaupp said it’s great to work with
her old friend, but she said the production’s goal is to raise money for
the scholarship fund.
“Now, more than ever, students
are feeling the squeeze of the economy,” she said.
The production runs Thursday
