The Leadership Recognition Ceremony
honored outstanding organizations, advisers
and students Wednesday night in the University Center Bluebonnet Ballroom.
Seven scholarships and awards were presented to more than 50 student and organization recipients.
The ceremony began in the early 1980s,
Leadership Center Director Stephanie
Brown said.
It started with recognizing the
outstanding student organization, adviser
and student leaders and has grown throughout the years.
Trey Yelverton, former Student Congress
president and Arlington deputy city manager of economic development, opened the
ceremony and said he felt honored to return
to his alma mater.
