UTA President James Spaniolo
said there are several “works in progress” he’ll be leaving or trying to
wrap up before he officially retires.
Spaniolo, 66, announced his retirement Monday at about noon via
an email to faculty, staff, students
and alumni.
The email stated that
he will remain president until the
UT System Board of Regents can
find a replacement.
Spaniolo said
this could take up to six months or
longer.
Spaniolo came to UTA as president in 2004.
