The Shorthorn staff
H1N1 vaccines will be offered for free
Friday at seven Tarrant County public
health centers.
Tarrant County spokesman Marc Flake
said the centers will offer H1N1 vaccines
for people in target groups, including
pregnant women, household contacts and
caregivers for children younger than 6
months, health care and Emergency Medical Services personnel, people from 6
months through 24 years old and people
25 through 64 years old, who are at risk
from the flu.
Flake said about 10,000 doses will be
split among the seven centers.
He said some centers will get more
doses than others, and the number of doses
each will get depends on the average caseloads for immunizations.
“We’ll have doses there until the supply
runs out,” he said.
