Creating short-term goals that are easier to manage is one way to ensure success when making resolutions. The beginning of a new year is a time usually set aside for making new resolutions and prioritizing things of importanceinstudents’lives.However,some students might fall short under the pressure of school, work and having a social life, which can all be overwhelming. Instead of focusing on vague resolutions, having smaller goals can help with the process. Broadcasting senior Susie Martinez said striving for too much and putting too many goals on her plate can get overwhelming, but it’s easy to do in college when she wants to take advantage of every opportunity that comes her way. “You get overwhelmed, and that’s when you start overthinking things and then you bring yourself down,” Martinez said. “It’s not worth it.
