CUSTOMS: is an authority or agency in a country responsible for collecting and
safeguarding customs duties and for controlling the flow of goods including
animals, transports, personal effects and hazardous items in and out of a country.
AD-VALOREM: is a tax based on the value of real estate or personal property. It is
more common than a specific tax, a tax based on the quantity of an item, such as
cents per kilogram, regardless of price.
EXW: "Ex works" means that the seller delivers when he places the goods at the
disposal of the buyer at the seller's premises or another named place (i.e. works,
factory, warehouse, etc.) not cleared for export and not loaded on any collecting
vehicle.
FAS: is an acronym for "free on board", meaning that the buyer pays for
transportation of the goods.
STATEMENT: is either (a) a meaningful declarative sentence that is
