It s no secret, downtown Auburn is a hot spot for Auburn University
students looking to let off some steam.
Benjamin Neuffer, also known as DJ
Catalyst, is an up-incoming disc jockey in the Auburn area who has just the
right beats to get the crowd moving.
Neuffer, a junior at Auburn University, majoring in geology, started out
break dancing before switching over to djing after he realized that he had
more fun playing music than dancing.
Starting out as a "bedroom DJ,"
Neuffer practiced in his room and eventually started developing his own
unique style.
“I threw a few dance parties and found out I really enjoyed making other
people dance, so I hung up the dance shoes and picked up a pair of
headphones,” Neuffer said.
Neuffer has been a professional DJ for the past two years, but has been djing
for four years total.
His first gig in Auburn was at the Chameleon.
Since then,
Neuffer has performed at locations such as Quixotes, Skybar, 1716, Bourbon
Street, En F
