Medidata, a subsidiary of the Spanish telecommunications company Amper, will
provide security at major sporting events in Brazil.
Spain, February 21, 2013 -- Starting in 2013, Amper, through its Brazilian
subsidiary Medidata, and working in consortium with Rontan South Americas
largest acoustic and visual signage equipment and special vehicle firm will be
implementing an innovative Integrated Command and Control System (ICCS) to handle
public security and civil defence at major sports events.
The aim is to provide special vehicles to track alerts in real time sent by
emergency agencies working at these events.
This means it will be possible for all
security and civil defence communications to be made from a single point,
regardless of the state of the infrastructure in the place that the vehicle goes
to.
Each of the World Cup venues will have two of these vehicles, with a total of 27
being deployed.
The contract that the Spanish company has signed is valued at 92
million real
