Being nationally recognized for
quality and accountability is an
impressive accomplishment;
making history in the process is a
monumental achievement.
As a recipient of the Rising Star Award
by the University HealthSystem
Consortium (UHC), UK HealthCare has
not only shown improvement from
previous years, we
have the highest
jump among
Rising Star
winners in UHC’s
history with a
Quality and
Accountability
Ranking of 12th
among 101 academic medical centers.
“We have a fundamental commitment
to focus on benchmark clinical programs,”
said Michael Karpf, MD, executive vice
president for health affairs. “This award is
an example of external validation of our
success in these efforts.”
The Rising Star Award, presented last
month at the UHC annual conference
in Atlanta, is a prestigious honor and has
