All warts are caused by a virus, the human papillomavirus or HPV.

through small scratches or cuts, openings in the skin.

Sometimes the virus dies and sometimes
it begins to grow a collection of non-cancerous cells on the outer layer of the skin.
These are
known as warts.
It is hard to know where the infection source is since warts can show up 1 to 20 months after
the virus enters the body.
Although warts can go away on their own, they can also grown large and multiple.
Better to
begin treatment as soon as you notice the first wart.
