Methiopropamine Among many of the other research chemicals available today, Methiopropamine or MPA is another popular widely used one. It is a chemical analog of a Schedule II chemical, methamphetamine. Methamphetamine found a wide range of users due to its addictive psychoactive properties. Unlike methamphetamine which is approved as a prescribed medicine by the FDA in the US, MPA is considered a structural analog of Meth and is labeled as a research chemical. In the UK, it was first approved for medical study in 1942. Soon after it gained popularity as a legal high or a research chemical and the market for it grew quickly.
