As part of a response to the
long lines in Burgin Dossett
Hall, East Tennessee State
University’s financial aid department has created a “Fast
Pass” program.
“We came to this idea from
the amusement park fast pass,”
said Lisa Bell, assistant director of the financial aid office.
“If students came to the office
and the line was too long, they
might turn around and leave.
”
Students will not be able to
use ETSU’s Fast Pass to get on
a roller coaster, but they will be
able to use it to jump ahead in
line.
Anyone enrolled at ETSU
will be able to schedule an appointment with a financial aid
counselor ahead of time.
If they
have done this, line length will
not matter.
The student will simply walk
up and see their designated adviser.
Those who have not made an
appointment can still walk up
and stand in line.
