Finding A Good Plasterer
Skew-nail perimeter noggings between the joists from the walls, and fit intermediate ones in lines over the
ceiling to guide the long edges in the boards.
When holes are deeper than 1/2 inch, you will need to patch
them by 50 percent separate parts.
Joint compound is less difficult to use, and you may sand it after it
dries to eliminate minor tool marks.
It is the basis for the painting technique referred to as fresco where
images are painted while the plaster remains to be wet.
When it is applied to wall surfaces, it creates a
marble like finish.
Flip it off, the ones same fixtures seem to disappear -- no lamp shades to dust, cords to cover up, or
chandeliers to bar the view.
Using the wrong material to patch a plaster wall is the main reason patches
fail.
Why not use real plaster, i hear you ask? After nearly 4 decades of doing these products, I can say because joint mud rocks! I have tried to use real plaster for patching holes in plaster.
