As we bid the 23-year old Delhi rape victim our last goodbyes
there are so many questions that remain unanswered, and so
many doubts that rear its ugly head.
The entire nation rose in protest against the horrific treatment
meted out to that innocent girl, but nothing much seems to have
happened till now.
Those arrested are yet to face trial, and the
others are busy making statements that belittle women and then
withdrawing them.
It has become like a game for these people.
We have had spiritual leaders to politicians to leaders who have
indicated that it may have been the fault of the woman as well.
And this brings me to the question: why is it always that the
woman is blamed for anything wrong that happens to her or her
family? She is indecently approached by a guy, and she is to be
blamed as she was wearing a short skirt, she is molested or
raped and she is to be blamed as she was walking alone after
dark on a deserted road, she loses her hu
