Salmon Arm Weekend A.M. All Month: August 7 No issues: July 10,17 A roundabout approach Molehills Lorne REIMER The Transportation Ministry had this city well covered Wednesday. While work crews were busy levelling the manholes - infamously nicknamed the Tank Hill speedbumps - engineers and PR-types were out schmoozing with locals at the Prestige Inn, showing and explaining new highway plans for west of town. There was even an animated video that placed viewers in the driver’s seat on exactly how the finished project will look from Neskonlith land all the way to the Waterslide corner. It was interesting to discover how engineers worked through the challenges to design continous frontage roads, a working intersection near Buckerfields, and linking up to Gleneden and the Valley. But what really caught the eye of the many who came out to the Prestige Inn on WOW night were the twin traffic circles on both sides of the four lane highway approaching the new Salmon River bridge from the west.
