Overview of Pump Valves Pump valves are devices that control, regulate and direct the flow of the fluids through the opening and closing or the partial obstruction of passageways in the media that is carrying these fluids, which are pipes. This is important as they control the back flow of the fluids. They are therefore a vital constituent of the pumping and piping systems. Valves have a number of components that are joint or assembled to make it possible for them to carry out their function well.
