A beautiful High Gothic cathedral luckily much unscathed during its long history, the stained glass windows and sculptures remain as original. People say that nobody can now reproduce the blue in the stained glass windows and that is why it is known as the Chartres Blue. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979, the two towers are in different times, one is a Gothic style, one Roman.
