In her 18th season as the head
coach of the Auburn University
women’s golf team, Kim Evans has
compiled a list of achievements
that many people could only dream
of.
Under her coaching, the Tigers
have won seven Southeastern
Conference Championships and
upheld a 2,210-728-36 record.
She
has also led her team to 91 topthree finishes in 192 tournaments,
including 13 NCAA Championship
appearances.
A long time Auburn fan, Evans
graduated from Auburn in 1981
with a degree in Bachelor of Science, while dedicating her time to
the Auburn golf team as a player
from 1978-81.
After graduation Evans began her
career as a golf activity coordinator and professional at Sandestin
Resort in Destin, Fla.
, earning her
PGA Class A status.
Evans then moved to a men’s assistant coaching position at Georgia
Tech from 1988-1994, doubling as
the assistant executive director of
the Atlanta Junior Golf Association.
