In a history making announcement President Barrack Obama stated unequivocally that
he supports the rights of homosexual couples to marry, just like strait couples do.
This has
caused a strong reaction from conservative religious groups who fiercely object such a position
and will do everything they can to stop the creation of any laws granting gays the right to legally
marry.
What’s most interesting about this is the nature of the arguments that are being used
against the President and the premise on which they are based.
When one hears these
religious leaders speak one hears the same argument over and over again.
They oppose gay
marriage because God does not approve of it.
It is God, not them, who is against
homosexuality.
After all, the Bible clearly states that he created Adam and Eve not Adam and
