Thrushes
Everyone is keen to make use of berries at this time of
year (for crumbles and sloe gin), but make sure you leave
some behind to help species such as mistle thrush (Turdus
viscivorus), song thrush (Turdus philomelos), redwing
(Turdus iliacus) and fieldfare (Turdus pilaris), contributing to
their continued survival.
You can also help during harsher weather conditions
by throwing pieces of fruit, especially apples, into your
garden.
