the year 2011 was very special for all of us at the Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Marbella, Spain. At the beginning, we received an award given by the Kempinski Group, which determines the satisfaction of the employees. The Kempinski Bahia received the highest ranking! Soon afterwards the Kempinski's Executive Chef, Jordi Batallier, who has been with the Hotel for many years, was honoured by the oldest gastronomic academy in Spain, the "Academia Gastronomica de Malaga". He received the José Meliá Sinisterra Prize for the "Best Hotel on the Costa del Sol". This prize recognizes the quality and ability to provide guests with a healthy and delicious cuisine.
The Nominations for the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List 2011 and for the World Travel Awards as Spain's Best Resort Hotel followed before the summer arrived.
