What we all want is a dog that looks nice and does the job we ask of it. We also hope those qualities are passed on when using a Springer stud dog. FTCH s (Field Trial Champions) have proven their worth in competition, they have had to win a novice trial, two open trials and have been tested in water to obtain the title. In order to reach this level a dog has to be scrutinised by several independent judges during this time they may tot up several Field Trial awards, certificates of merit, guns choice etc. So don t just be blinded by the addition of a Field Trial Champion status.
