As the holiday season is coming closer and the lastminute customers hit the stores or go online retailers to discover the best gift,
research from a London Business School academic has suggested that less may be more
when it comes to Christmas gift buying.
A research co-written by Dr Gabrielle Adams, Assistant Professor of Organisational
Behaviour and lecturer of human resource management discovered that although most
gift givers think there to be a association among the price of a gift and level of
gratitude, the reality is that receivers don?t appreciate luxurious presents that
much extra.
The research by Dr Adams and co-writer Professor Frank Flynn from Stanford
University human resource management department is predominantly well-timed with
the low-spirited economic prediction impacting the pouches of people around the
world.
Observing on her research, Dr Adams stated: "You just don t have to spend that
