Watermead is on the Northern
outskirts of Aylesbury, off the A413
Buckingham Road.
The village is a
colourful collection of houses and
apartments set around beautiful
lakes and wetlands.
The development, by Royco, was
first designed in the 1980’s.
The
flood plains were excavated to reduce the risk of flooding and thus
creating the lake and landscape that
can be seen today.
Watermead is
built on greenbelt land therefore
great care was taken to understand
the ecology and to protect and enhance the environment.
As a consequence the locale is now host to
numerous types of waterfowl and
deer have been spotted in the surrounding woodland.
