Beautiful Sri Lanka and its Deep Sea Fishing Tours
The harbour was abuzz with activity as the creatures of the deep were unloaded including tuna,
crabs, lobsters, sharks and rays.
Although not for the squeamish or the faint hearted, you can
definitely learn about how these fish are sorted, sold and distributed at all levels and it really was a
fascinating experience and a brilliant photo opportunity.
Whilst staying at the wonderful Apsara Villa just outside of Bentota on my recent trip to Sri Lank
(booked with Sri Lanka tours) I took a trip down to the local fish harbour with a real sense of
excitement and anticipation.
During the early morning, just as the nightly catch is coming in, Beruwela Fish Harbour is so
energetic, full of life and is rarely visited by other foreign tourists; making it an all-round fascinating
experience.
