Tucked away in the Northwest corner of Montana is a true wonderland.
With Glacier National Park
on the east side, Flathead Lake on the south, the Whitefish Mountain Range on the west, and the
Canadian border on the north, this area is a magnificent place to visit and learn to love.
It can be
exciting and calm, stormy and peaceful all at the same time.
It is a big country, and its reputation as
the Crown of the Continent is well deserved.
The north end of the northern Rockies is comprised of Glacier National Park and the Bob Marshall
Wilderness.
This a rugged area of huge jagged glacier-cut mountains, rushing rivers with miles of
whitewater, and mountain lakes that will take your breath away.
Back-country chalets that can only
be reached on horseback or hiking on foot are scattered through the park, and grizzly bears are
inhabitants of the area along with mountain lions, elk, moose, and deer.
