The purpose to visualisation of concept is, materialise ideas which will then be
developed further.
Concept art is only the “middle process” of a much bigger
production and it is never a final product.
A script writer creates a story that
fits the director’s needs, in this the concept features are described, and it is
the artists’ job to be able to visualise and recreate these features.
A concept
artist will have to recreate the ideas several times until it fits or exceeds every
required detail.
Several versions of the design are then made to then go
through a selection process to pick out the best fitting design.
The final design
will then be perfected to then be handed out to 3D modellers which recreate
the character, object or environment.
When creating the three dimensional
model, the textures are created to their finest detail which will then be added
the colours that the artist has given.
