At the top of a long street we finally found the French restaurant we were recommended.
We were
greeted by a very friendly staff, and was seated without a reservation.
A wonderful aperitif of champagne
and a tad of mulberry juice was served.
They had a Surprise menu and a choice of three course menu at
set prices which were not at all expensive.
And the staff even knew some Norwegian/Swedish, so they
could explain some of the courses (fish names are most times hard to remember in English).
We went for
fresh and wild scallops as a starter - wonderful and tasty.
I had the Argentinian entrecote as main, my
partner the rabbit cooked in beer.
The steak was definately best, though the rabbit was tasty as well.
The
red wine the waitress recommended with the meal was great.
For dessert I had the chocolate cake which
was ok (a bit too soft for my taste) and my partner had a good creme brulee.
All in all: a wonderful french meal after almost two weeks of
