• AU CWC’s primary mission is to develop and implement educational writing programs
that value diverse writing cultures throughout Alabama.
• AU CWC recruits faculty and undergraduate students to partner with members of the Lee
County community and teach them to write correctly and efficiently.
• All writing partners are volunteers willing to help community members in need of writing
assistance.
• AU CWC is open to all Lee County community members.
• Community members can learn to write resumes, cover letters, papers and much more.
• AU CWC is sponsored by the College of Liberal Art’s Center for the Arts and
Humanities, the English department and the Office of University Writing.
• Writing seminars and virtual resources will be available on AU CWC’s new website
coming soon.
• Writing partners are available to commute to any community member seeking help.
• AU CWC officially opens right before the Christmas holiday.
