Missionaries from eight Washington State churches
traveled to Nicaragua February 9-18, 2006 as part of
Corner of Love Ministries third annual medical/dental
brigade.
This year’s brigade, called “Healing In His
Name” consisted of two dentists, and assisting dental
staff, one US doctor, one Nicaraguan doctor, one nurse
practitioner, and a large supporting staff of nurses,
interpreters, and volunteers.
Forty nine people,
including several Nicaraguans from the Evangelical
Lutheran Church of Nicaragua led by Reverend Pavel
Guevara, traveled to remote villages in North Nicaragua
where people brave life in the most impoverished area
of the country and only one in 53 households has
potable water.
During the trip, clinics were held in San
Ramon, El Jobo, Yuc
