Paper recycling
The paper is a material support of the written information that produces
strong negative impacts particularly in terms of production.
In fact, although the raw material can be considered renewable - wood,
from trees - their production usually leads to extensive monocultures of
exotic species - like eucalyptus in Portugal, and various conifers in much of
Europe – which result in the disappearance of almost all the native fauna
and flora.
This effect is related not only to the species used but also to the
system of cultivation: dense planting, short revolution and washing of poor
mountain soils.
Paper recycling is the reprocessing of non-functional role to produce
recycled paper.
This procedure allows you to retrieve the old role of the
cellulose fibers and incorporate them in the manufacture of new paper.
