Introduction
Acid rain is the name given to the rain, or any other form
of precipitation that is unusually acidic which means that it
possesses elevated levels of hydrogen ions (low pH).
Normally, the water is already a little acidic with a pH of
5,2 at 20ºC so, to be considered an acid rain, the water has to
have a pH lower or equal to 4,5, which means that the water has
a large concentration of one or more strong acids in it.
Consequently it causes many negative effects on plants, aquatic
living organisms, every structure or equipment that it touches,
etc.
