I am going to show a few commonly made mistakes and offer several suggestions for designing the
ideal plastic parts.
The first guideline to stick to while designing plastic parts is to attempt to sustain uniform wall thickness.
In this aspect,
plastic components differ from other parts.
As such designing plastic components needs a completely distinct design
method than for instance metal parts.
Parts with uneven wall thickness are likely to cool irregularly and leave bad shrink
marks which are noticeable on the outer surface.
