I remember stories growing
as up a child in our small town of
Hampton.
These stories were of
great heroes like George Washington chopping down the cherry
tree and later becoming President
of our great country.
As children we would imitate these heroes from our history books like Paul Revere and
General Robert E.
Lee.
These
people were only on paper and
in our imagination but the present day war brought back many
heroes.
These individuals were
not in our history books or people
that were intangible.
They were
the men and women that sacrifice
their personal freedom upholding
democracy and protecting the
many liberties that we enjoy today
in this amazing country of the free
and the brave.
These young kids grown to

are sent into harm’s way while we
worry and fear
