St John Fisher Student’s impressions of the Comenius Trip to Cyprus December 2011
Monday – left a freezing cold England covered in snow from Manchester Airport, plane an hour late.
Students excited by the prospect of the trip and its uncertainty.
Questions of what will it be like? And
‘How will we get along?’ answered by patient teachers allaying their fears.
Alex asked after an hour
into the fight how long will it take and when given the answer of another three hours or so replied with
an expletive.
We know how she felt.
Arrived at a warmer Paphos Airport and greeted by a friendly bus
driver with his English wife in their party bus.
The trip to Larnaca was quicker than we thought and the
hotel more basic than we expected; functional and orange.
Tuesday – The morning was spent wandering around Larnaca, bathed in warm sunshine.
Sleepy town
with a beautiful promenade and found a great restaurant for lunch that jutted out into the bay.

returned for lunch wearing our summer out
