weltering temperatures and high humidity couldn’t dampen the
enthusiasm of Hill-Murray’s 199 members of the Class of 2011 as
they celebrated their graduation at the Cathedral of Saint Paul.
Families proudly posed for pictures and shared stories about their
graduates.
--The single-file line of students wearing their caps and gowns
created a trail of Hill-Murray green, winding its way across the Cathedral
lawns.
While some graduates talked quietly, others laughed, shouted and
even danced.
Their long-awaited day had finally arrived.
“Yes!’’ said graduating senior Connor McCallum.
“I finally did it! It’s
especially great after watching both of my older siblings graduate.
I just
keep thinking, ‘Now it’s my turn!’’’
Once inside the awe-inspiring Cathedral students prepared themselves
to take the next step in their lives.
There to support them were family
members, Hill-Murray faculty, staff and administrators, as well as presiders
Abbot John Klassen, of St.
John’s Abbey in Collegevill
