ABOUT THIS SURVEY
This document outlines a number of areas of knowledge in order to offer an overview of the physical activity situation in Europe. It offers an analysis of the benefits of physical activity, and discusses the financial costs – to individuals and to the wider society – of inactivity and sedentary
lifestyles. It then reports on a number of studies of physical activity levels around the world, and especially in Europe.
