The 20th of December 2010 we went to Reggio
Emilia to visit the “Europe Direct”…it was the
Comenius Day and the beginning of a new fantastic
experience!!!!!
Once there, our class (the II B) took part to an
interactive laboratory on Europe that ended with a
game and a lot of funny gadgets for everyone and tshirts and backpacks for the winners!!
We learned a lot about the health of our earth and
the ways we can take care of it.
And we were very
astonished in realizing that in our everyday life we
adopt various unconscious habits that negatively
affect the environment.
Here some example:
- Aluminium is 100% recyclable.
Recycling aluminium requires only
5% of the energy used to extract it
from minerals.
- Every European citizen travels an
average of 35 km per day, mostly by
car.
- One person travelling by plane from
London to New York and from New
York to London produces more
emissions than a whole family over a
full year.
