Women’s emancipation processes and movements have been enhanced in many countries worldwide, indicating strive towards gender equality in general. Nevertheless, men are still superior when it comes about education, employment, income rates, distribution of positions, and social attitudes. In order to promote gender equality, a survey “Men and Gender Relations” was conducted in Georgia. The goal of the survey is to gather data on men’s attitudes and practices – along with women’s opinions and experiences of men’s practices – on a wide variety of topics related to gender equality. The survey was conducted by the Institute of Social Studies and Analysis (ISSA), within the frameworks of UN Joint Program ”Enhancing Gender Equality in Georgia”. The present research is based on the similar survey conducted by Promundo, which was successfully accomplished in Brazil, Chile, Croatia, India, Mexico, Ruanda, and Bosnia.
