Buildmore Store Brings Opportunity to Auburn
AUBURN—No one showed up to repair Mrs.
Robinson’s roof, although she paid $2,100 to get it fixed.
Robinson was left with a collapsing roof that is beginning to leak, not to mention no money in her pockets.
With no way to help herself, Robinson turned to Alabama Rural Ministry to help repair her roof – for free.
Alabama Rural Ministry’s new Buildmore Store in Opelika now provides a way for the community to
take part in helping Robinson and families like hers.
The store’s profits fund projects to help those in need in
Lee County.
“We are not out to profit for profit’s sake,” said Lisa Pierce, director of ARM, “but to build our
capacity to serve families in rural communities who desperately need home repair.
