This has been disclosed at a press conference on 30 November by Alexander Denisov, first deputy head of the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation (FSMTC). In his words, "the decisive factor will be our performance in December, the time when a number of major weapon systems will be handed over to foreign customers". As 2006 and the subsequent years go, "the US$ 5 billion is the figure we must maintain permanently", said A.Denisov. Moreover, "we must build up the annual defense sales through supplies of spare parts and components and through provision of after sale servicing and repair".
