Les Amis de l’Abbaye de Saint-Maurin Translated by Caroline Durling and Jacquie Dean 6-monthly bulletin N°10 Activities 2 Cluniac footpath First Cluniac exhibition 3 Monumental Romanesque Art 4 The Cluny coat of arms The office of chapter 5 Cura corporis Silence & speech 6 In this number : A word from the President January 2015 Having spent three extremely busy years setting up the Cluniac footpath, a calmer period allows us • to concentrate on forthcoming tasks concerning the abbey in order to facilitate and encourage visitors to the site • with our contacts in the Gers, the Tarn et Garonne and the Aveyron, to focus on the north-eastern and southern extensions of the footpath • to seek out simple overnight accommodation along the route • in collaboration with the FESC, to create a “credentiale” - similar to that used by pilgrims on the chemin de St Jacques - for those walking our footpath.
