Once again, the People that Deliver (PtD) Newsflash focuses on success and
evidence of the Initiative’s positive impact on the professionalization of
human resources for supply chain management (HR for SCM) in developing
countries’ health systems.
MOZAMBIQUE
The country became a PtD focus country following
the June 2011 Global Positioning and
Harmonization Conference.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Health (MoH) recognized that while the health supply chain
workforce is key to achieving national and global health goals because of its decisive role in ensuring
that drugs and other health supplies reach the people who need them, “the human resources
involved in the supply chain and distribution of health commodities have little to no training in
logistics and supply chain management”.
