National achievement test is an evaluation tool which measures student’s performance.
This is a yearly assessment examination given to grade three, grade four, second year students
respectively.
It is administered every March of a school year to asses the learning outputs of the
pupils/students both in elementary and secondary level.
NAT or Not? As envisioned NAT seeks to measure not only asses the pupils/students
learning outputs but to measure also the efficiency and effectiveness of the teachers.
Is the result
reliable?
The motive or purpose of the NAT is in general terms noble.
It identifies both strong and
weak performance not only the secondary students and the elementary pupils but also the academic
performance of the public elementary and the public secondary schools.
