2010 certainly made its mark
on an international scale with
a month-long series of 25 core
and over 90 fringe exhibitions celebrating documentary
and art photography.
Based
in Fremantle, a vibrant port
city of Western Australia and
Perth, the state’s capital, the
festival showcased the works
of emerging and established
photographers from around
the world.
In addition to book
launches, talks and debates,
this year brought a new exciting feature to the programme;
a five-day intensive workshop
led by Magnum photographers,
Trent Parke, Bruno Barbey and
Chien-Chi Chang.
Innovation and diversity was
certainly an element; works
