Volunteers Recognized
in alberta Legislature
“It was a surprise and an honour to be invited
to the Legislative Assembly where members of
the Legislature acknowledged our volunteers,”
said Trueman MacDonald, Volunteer
Coordinator with the Edmonton Centre St.
John Ambulance.
During the Legislative session on February
19th, 2009 Mr.
Elniski, MLA for EdmontonCalder, spoke highly of St.
John volunteers
after he thanked the Speaker of the House: “I’d
like to introduce to you and through you to the
members of this Assembly two outstanding
volunteers from St.
John Ambulance.
Last
week I attended a ceremony recognizing the
top three volunteers for 2008.
The third place
volunteer, Kathie Robinson, could not be with
us today.
However, I have to say that she volunteered
12,000 hours in the last eight years for St.
John Ambulance.
Second place went to Dean
