Finmeccanica won new orders valued up to EUR 200 million through its companies AgustaWestland, Oto Melara, DRS Technologies and SELEX Sistemi Integrati.
AgustaWestland, through its company PZL Swidnik, has signed contracts with the Polish Ministry of National Defence worth around EUR 90 million euro to supply five W-3WA Sokol helicopters for VIP transport and to upgrade other 14 helicopters of the Polish Armed Forces.
Oto Melara has been awarded contracts with a total value of around EUR 50 million. The first contract relates to the supply of spare parts and a spare parts warehouse for 30mm HITFIST towers to the Polish army; the second contract, signed by the Iveco Oto Melara consortium and the General Directorate of Land Armaments, is for the development of a prototype of the new Centauro armoured vehicle and its certification by 2014; the final order, received from the Italian defence ministry, relates to the supply of 40 12.7mm HITROLE towers for Iveco VTMM vehicles.
