The ancient laws of Greece say that a murderer was punished by a member of the
family of one that was murdered.
Solon, the lawmaker of the Athens, made these laws for families
to decided because the murder of a person was never a state offence like it is now.
Solon was born
in a well-to-do family oh Athens.
In ancient Greece it was hard to carry out punishments.
To do
this Ancient Greeks created a court system.
Back than their coursystems were ran by what today
they would call amatuers.
Court officials were paid almost nothing, and the trials were completed
in more than a day.
Throughout his journey, Odeyssues didn t hurt anyone out of cold heart.
The epic made
it clear that all Odeysseus wanted to do was get back home safely to his wife and son.
Being in the
war for 10 years and stuck on the island with Calypso for 7 only made him stronger.
